Sarah's mix play list
FYI: I base my music decisions on nothing in particular. As you will be able to tell. The cds would have been on their way to you but do to a unforseen car window shatter they will be on their way in the next day or two.
Naked Eye Luscious Jackson The only song that I ever liked that they sang. I remember hearing Jennifer play it.
Can't Fight the Moonlight LeAnn Rimes I just really liked the movie Coyote Ugly and liked the song too.
One Headlight The Wallflowers I can remember driving with Catherine to their concert and when we would just drive and listen to the cd my last year of college at esu.
Are You Gonna Go My Way Lenny Kravitz Do I really need to say anything. So cute!
Hot in Herre Nelly Yes I know all the words Penthouse rooftop birds are feedin....
Say You'll Be There Spice Girls Yes I like the Spice Girls I often listened to them driving back and forth to Emporia my last semester. The longest most boring 30 oh I mean 42 minutes drivingl.
Good Better Than Ezra Lonely times in my apartment doing homework and thinking maybe I should have lived in the dorms where I was less isolated.
If You Could Only See Tonic Steve got me this cd shortly after I moved to Nebraska for good. Not his style but he knew I would like it.
Walkin' on the Sun Smashmouth I like this one for the retro sound.
Hollaback Girl Gwen Stefani Nothing like a good holla to make you feel better and even a little happier.
Whenever, Wherever Shakira No one can shake it and sing it like she can. I love her voice.
Criminal Fiona Apple I think this sounds different maybe that is why I was drawn to it.
Slave for You Britney Spears Ah what is it Gretchen called her the biggest piece of white trash. The perfect song to sing to her ho as Jennifer said.
Lightning Crashes Live I've always liked this one.
Disciplined Breakdown Collective Soul This is a good one since I had to choose and couldn't find their December cd. I'm sure it's around here somewhere.
American Woman Lenny Kravitiz Refer to previous and yum!
Plush Stone Temple Pilots I just liked it and thought maybe you guys would to.
Toxic Britney Spears I really like this song. It is my main ringtone on my phone.
Since You've Been Gone Kelly Clarkson She's cute and I voted for her to win the first year on American Idol.

Ah, Luscious Jackson. Love them! One of my favorite 90s girl sounds in the vein of Veruca Salt, and Poe. Is this really the only song of theirs you like? "Electric Honey" kind of got panned, but I still like it - songs like "Lady Fingers" and "Nervous Breakthrough". I think that if you haven't listened to that album, Sarah, you might really like it! Great car music.
I did forget to mention that all of these came from cds we have. That was the only one i liked. The rest i was indifferent about. I have actually listened to all the songs on all the cds.
I really love Luscious Jackson. A boyfriend turned me onto them with...ok, I totally can't remember which song.
I haven't listened to Live in ages. I remember loving them, though.
You were the one who got us all hooked on Live, way before they were popular. Along with Trapezoid's moon run.
That's right! I quite randomly picked out their Mental Jewelry tape with the points I earned from selling magazines sophomore year. That is the ONLY time I've ever discovered a band before the rest of the world.
I was feeling nostalgic about Moon Run, so I found a cheap CD on eBay last year. It's a little too overproduced, synthesizer-heavy for my tastes now. Trapezoid's acoustic stuff is the bomb, though.
Yeah, I have another CD by Trapezoid that is really different from Moon Run -- although Moon Run is still so ingrained in me that I, too, had to relinquish my boot leg tape for the CD last year as well! I think, in fact, that we all listened to that a lot at our first campout, so I associate those songs with looking out over the fields behind Ellie's house.
The other CD I have by Trapezoid is so different, more like something you'd hear on the Thistle and Shamrock (sort of).
And Live! Yes, I still love Mental Jewelry, although they tended to disappoint me after that....
Is it "Now & Then," Lesley? I grew up with that album. LOVE it! Katie walked down the aisle to the first song, "Devrah's Delight." It is so beautiful.
No, that's not the one I have, but now I know which one to look for! Do you think "Now and Then" is still available, somewhere, on CD? I'll have to check Amazon or EBay.
The one I have is "Cool of the Day" -- and I'm going to go put it on right now because I haven't listened to it in ages!
It seems to still be easily available, though if you burn me "Cool of the Day," I'll burn you "Now & Then."
That's a deal, Ellie! I did find "Now and Then" on Musicmatch, and listened to a few tracks. Very nice.
Ok told you that I wasn't into music like you all were. I don't even remember hearing Trapazoid or whatever. When I read that I was like what? Who? Totally don't remember that. I do remember that there was always music playing. Just not who because it wasn't a deep interest. I think if I liked it I remembered. I remember swiping a blackhawk tape Jennifer had because I for some strange reason liked it. It didn't sound country. It was good to sing to in the drives in my bug to and from Empo. Then she figured out where it went and swiped it back. Then I listened to the peaches cassingle over and over.
