This was at an after-prom party -- perhaps the one Ellie remembers when it rained and we had to run madly to our cars from the gym? I think the two of you are watching karaoke, and I'd give money to know who was up there.... oh wait, probably Nick.
But wasn't I thoughtful to turn and smile for you!!! The days of big hair. I do probably still use the same amount of hairspray. To this day I still can't shake the nickname my dad gave me for using all that hairspray.
Your hair looks great in this picture! I had forgotten how long it was. Did/does your hair grow fast? I seem to remember it was short our sophomore year and then this length by our senior year.
Viva la hairspray! I am now all about forming creams, or those surf hair products that make hair look "just so" but really look like I just crawled out of bed.
My hair grows crazy fast. Especially now for some reason. It is also much thicker than it used to be. Having babies can totally change somethings. Some women loose hair I got more! It was really short last year about this time and now it is past my shoulders. I think similar to the last time I saw OSD when our 10 yr reunion was. I haven't really cut it only reshaped it. It helps to know what I'm doing saves me $ on haircuts
That song, yes! One of my only spontaneous yearbook photo moments. Kristine, Kris, and I had some sort of weird inside joke about that song -- maybe that we all like singing in drawling fashion. Whatever the case, I still belt out that song when it comes on the radio. "I got a lil change in my pocket goin jingle lilingle lingle...."
And hairstyle. Mine comes in two forms: time and energy (blowout) or no time and no energy (pony tail/chignon/rubber band fiasco). Entirely dependent on my mood. :)
Yes, Sarah loves her hair. I can remember her spending hours curling it. Me, I just blow dry it upside down, it straightens itself out and does the trendy flip up on the ends. Or I add some curling mousse and have those lovely waves. Either way, 10 minutes.
I NEVER know how to do my hair. Completely by accident I finally found a woman to cut my hair who I can say this to, and when I went to her this time I said, "I have not had a haircut since my son was born last year. I am completely out of ideas. I do not want to look 30 yet. Cut my hair and then show me how to fix it because I have no idea what I am doing." And magically, she is one of those people who does exactly that. So, I finally have a haircut, thank goodness. The last time it was short was like New Year's last year.
So Ellie, you have to go to someone and plead for their help and tell them you don't know what to do and if they are good they'll tell you what to do. But I guess you do have to pretty much let them cut your hair however they want it then, so it's a bit of a gamble. I totally know what you mean about not knowing how to do hair though, I am a hair dunce.
That's a great idea, LeAnn! I really like my new stylist here, too. I bet she'd be good at giving me the right cut and style. She did it so adorably last time that I went out and bought a flat iron. Yeah, I've used it exactly twice in the past year.
My requirement is the following: looks good without me having to spend an hour on it. Am I asking too much?? My patience for fixing hair lasts about seven minutes.
Mine too. That's what I told my lady too, that I really hate doing my hair and so I wanted something that would take the shortest possible amount of time.
I do have to blow dry my hair, but thankfully there isn't much else I have to do. Although I too now own a flat iron. It's the only way I can get my hair to flip out.

Aw!
Lesley, I remember you and some other people doing kareoke to "don't tell me no lies, and keep your hands to yourself..." What was that song?
No Sarah, but everyone else: where the hell did you learn how to do your hair? I think I STILL don't know how to.
Keep your hands to yourself by the Georgia Satellites. For somereason I remembered the band, but had to look up the song.
