Kansas Sunset
hey, everyone... just had to share these with you...
we get the most beautiful sunsets where we live. The other day, when i got home from work, this particular one just took my breath away. Bright orange/pink with feathered and bubbled clouds, veiling the still blue sky; a part of them looked as though they'd been woven in and out of each other like a basket. In another part, the clouds looked so low that i could almost touch them! It was just gorgeous.

Gorgeous!
I agree! Nothing beats a Kansas sunset. That is something I miss the most. I never see ones quite as nice here in Illinois. Mainly I just miss being able to walk outside and see the entire horizon.
You know something weird? It's settled down a bit since living in Alabama, out of a big city, but I was so used to tall buildings going on for miles that when I visit Kansas, it took me a while for my eyes to adjust to wide open spaces. My depth perception was messed up for a day or so before it could fully take in the horizon. It was very disconcerting.
