That is NOT sweet!
I was in the mood for wine tonight which i never am. Im more of the fruity or unusal drink type. Strawberry ritas and amaretto are two of my favs. Im beginning to think finding a sweet wine is impossible. If they are going to ask me if i need help then really help. They helped me find a red wine that was supposed to be sweet and not dry. I cant stand anything dry or bitter(probably why i hate mustard) or sangria bleh. It was bitter. Maybe i had taste bud malfuntion but yet again im disappointed. Any suggestions?

Have you ever tried a riesling? They are a sweeter white wine. They go really nice with Chinese take-out... ;)
You want SWEET sweet? Try a dessert wine, but only eat sweet things while you drink it (or drink it solo).
I really like Alice White wines. Their Lexia is very good. The website says: "This wine features wonderful aromas of apricots, mangos and lilacs. It offers a round, full mouthfeel with a pleasant sweetness that's well balanced by a crisp, refreshing finish."
They also said you could drink it with spicy Thai or Indian dishes, but I'd mostly call it a dessert wine.
Anything made from Muscat grapes will be sweet.
We tried a woodbridge muscat it was very good and sweet. The store by our house has an ok selection but they didnt have the ones that ellie and lesley mentioned. I picked that 1 because i remembered it would be sweet. So we are going to a wine store that opened in derby. They will have a better selection. I just wanted something different than we usually have. Im not going to go do they vineyard tour or anything i just needed a little change.
Move to Ecuador! What they call wine here, I would call soda pop. It comes in strawberry peach and apple, and is in a box. I can´t stand it...but I could bring you back a box! Just kidding, I don´t think it´s really what you are after.
Hmm fizzy wine in a box. That sounds like boones wine. That at least comes in a bottle.
Boones! Man. I have many memories of fun evenings spent drinking Boone's Strawberry Hill in college. And by "memories," I mean I can't actually remember what happened those evenings, but I assume they were fun because Boones was fun like drinking soda all night.
Reminds me of someone describing Woodchuck Draft cider to me once: "You think you're just spending the evening drinking apple juice and then -- wham! -- you wake up on the kitchen floor."
I have to admit, I'm the red wine kind of girl. I love it for the reasons most people hate it -- I love that bitter dryness, call me bizarre. Probably for the same reasons I like strong black coffee. Or Guinness.
Mmmm Hard Cider. That stuff is SO good! I'm really starting to get into different types of beer. Beer is so refreshing sometimes. I like wine too, any kind. Well, not the really sweet stuff, it gets too thick. And that astringent red wine flavor, just can't beat that.
You know, if you like sweet (and like beer, to some extent), there's always lambic! Lindemans is a nice brand - and the framboise is my favorite. It's kind of a soda-pop beer -- but definitely not an alcopop. However, when I recommend it to people who want a sweet drink, they often feel lambic is still too tart for them. But it's soooo refreshing!
Beer blech! I have tried all kinds of beer and still cant stand it that yeastie taste. Steve told me that my tastebuds are too sensitive. Yesterday he went to QT and got us fountain soda. I always get coke with the vanilla mixer and he gets dr pepper. I took a drink and asked why he got diet he swore he didnt apparently some genius connected the lines wrong. Probably why i cant stand any flavor or form of coffee either.
Sorry, Gretchen, I don't mean to glamorize it either.
Yeah, I was thinking about my post last night and felt bad for speaking so carelessly. I'm sorry. For me, being able to drink wine or beer was completely a matter of loosening up in terms of my own personality -- not so much the feeling of being drunk itself. It was about not beating myself up w/guilt for everything I did. But I also don't mean to romance or glamorize it either.
