Some weather, huh?
I don't know--it's quiet here and I have no other post ideas.
It's raining steadily here, and is dark as twilight. I kind of want to turn off the fluorescent overhead light and work by the dim light of my desk lamp. The back wall of my office is a big window, so I could do it, but my co-workers would think I'm crazy.
Did I say "steadily"? In the time it took me to type those sentences, it's progressed to a downpour. I think my office has a leak. And I hope none of my clients want me to take them anywhere today. On the positive side, it's 60 degrees, though.
After it rains here, the ground smells fetid, and it pervades everywhere. I can't figure out if it's the chemical stink from all the bug spray they use liberally down here, or if it's from dank, rotting soil and foliage. In particular, my apartment complex will reek for days after a storm, because the soil doesn't soak up the water or drain well.
So how's your weather?

In this part of wichita which is kind of in the middle we live a few blocks from wesley well like maybe a quarter mile but its nice but it doesnt take me long to get any where in wichita it is sunny and pretty mild like 50 degrees lite jacket weather we did a little cleanup in our front flower bed and the patch of grass in the front of our house
It´s been beyond foggy lately. I basically live in a cloud. Which is fine, but I am getting anxious to go to the beach...one more week till my end of service conference. YAY!
It's been alternately sunny and gloomy here. The wind has been bothersome. But last night, around 9, a bank thermometer read 52. I turned off the heat last night -- in January! But tonight, we're supposed to get some snow, and Chicago may get between 4 and 8 inches!
I always laugh when I am in Kansas and talk to people who think that we live right outside Chicago. Like, they'll ask, 'how's that cold weather back east/up north?' (As though Illinois, as a state, is directly north of KS -- yet it's also 'back east'! ha!) That cracks me up -- just shows how little people know geography. In truth, Champaign is not situated much further north than K.C. -- so any weather patterns in Kansas on one day hit us the next. Usually.
