It was funny then and still funny now! We didn't say it in front of you however, because you just got all pissy.
And when you say "Steve Reeves, the handsome windblown driver" you have to do the hair flip thing otherwise it's just not the same!

Wild tangents ahead!!

First, just so you know where that line originally came from -- it's actually something I once heard on an old Peter, Paul, and Mary recording my mom had. LeAnn may remember this best -- she and I listened to it one afternoon and took lots of funny lines from the record. One being the classic "Don't look at them!" (when in car next to people at stoplight). We just thought this was hilarious!!!

And this reminds me of the time LeAnn, Mariah, Catie and I went to Ren Fest (in '95, I think) and then we went to Topeka to see Kristine afterwards. We were driving around for no particular reason, and a car pulled up next to us in traffic. LeAnn and I were laughing, doing the "Don't look at them!!" line. But Kristine had the best line EVER: She said, "I think there was a man of every ethnic group in that car..."

But, I must say, I had forgotten the Steve Reeves line -- but I'm so glad you finally find it funny, Sarah! :)

I forgot all about that nickname! It IS kinda funny. And yes...I also remember "Don't look at them!" I think of it whenever I pull into a parking space at Sonic to get a sinfully caloric drink.

"Don't look at them!"

Oh my god, I never had any idea where this came from, just a vivid memory of LeAnn saying it all the time!
