Legally Blonde 1 and two
Moulin Rouge
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Peggy Sue Got Married
Valley Girl
Current favorirte:
Secret Lives of Dentists

Best this year:
Wedding Crashers! Didn't think I'd like that one, but I did.
What does it say about me? I live with a gamer and I'm a movie slut too. ;)
Ones I own and can watch over and over (although our collection is not too extensive):
Any of the three Harry Potter films, especially the third one
Any LOTR, especially the first and third installments
A Knight’s Tale
Chicago
Moulin Rouge
Ocean’s Eleven (and we listen to the soundtrack ALL the time)
Miss Congeniality
Pirates of the Caribbean
And I’m adding a category of “movies that I will drop everything to watch until the end if they appear on TV”
Grosse Pointe Blank (probably one of my favorite movies ever) and anything with John Cusack, even Pushing Tin and America’s Sweethearts, which both sucked
A Few Good Men (I just HAVE to hang on for the final scene)
Notting Hill
Ever After
Any 80’s movie but especially Pretty in Pink (I was just thinking today how it’s weird that I don’t own it)
The Wedding Singer (so, any 80’s inspired movie as well!)
Best in Show (Waiting for Guffman is awesome, too)
Favorite all-time:

National Treasure
50 First Dates
Kill Bill, both volumes, especially the second
Any anime by Hayao Miyazaki
Best movie this year?
Finding Neverland (still sobbing)
Overall, I’m a quirky romantic – but I’ll also take a kick-butt action/adventure/comic book-based movie any day.
I realize I left out these all time favorites:
Viva Las Vegas
Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Saturday Night Fever
And Lesley, your list sounds so much like mine!
I haven't seen Sin City yet. I want to.
I enjoyed the Kill Bills a ton more than I expected. Seems like the older I get, the better I am at dealing with gore and violence.
Serenity ruled. We discovered Firefly last year and instantly adored it.
I sold a bunch (trying to read more)but here's what I got:
Kill Bill I & II
Harold and Maude
Garden State
Bottle Rocket and The Royal Tennenbaums
Gandhi (that man was such a BADASS)
The Incredibles
Before Sunrise & Before Sunset
Favorite all time (or, at least, I never pass up an opportunity to watch them....these are apart from the above mentioned):
Almost Famous
American Beauty
American Splendor
The Big Lebowski
Chocolat (that's right, I'm a guy and I like it dammit!)
Constantine
Dances With Wolves
Dancer in the Dark
Dark City
Dazed and Confused ("Think about it man. All those people out there. Fuckin'.")
Fantasia
Ghost World
Good Will Hunting
Hellboy (was already a fan of the comic book)
LOTR Trilogy
The Matrix Trilogy
Mindwalk
Minority Report
Pleasantville
Rushmore
Sideways
To Kill a Mockingbird (still my favorite)
Waking Life
Wonder Boys
Best movie of the year:
Hasn't come out yet, but I'm banking on-
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
or King Kong
until then, see Junebug
Movie collection: scattered to the winds and a bunch of used movie stores (I sold off over a hundred of them this year to feed the monkey of my book addiction)
How could I forget Ghost World. This is one of those movies Marc has dubbed a "Jen Movie". Lesley saw it and said the same thing.
Pillowbook falls into that same category.
Ghost World -- Steve Buscemi!! 'Nuff said.
Favorite all-time: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and THE COLOR PURPLE
Current Favorite: COLD MOUNTAIN
Best Movie This Year: No idea... but i'm really looking forward to seeing SHOPGIRL. I loved the book and i'm hoping that it's going to be great since the author wrote the screenplay and is starring in it, too. *it's been so long since i've actually gone out to see a movie... never seems to be enough time, so we always get our movies through Netflix.*
Also, my movie collection is larger than i have any right to own, and is filled with all kinds of movies. It's nice to be able to choose for my mood. I guess what it says about me is that i keep an open mind; The more i expose myself to, the more i take in about different subjects/people.
Here are some more of my favorites:
EAST OF EDEN
THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS
THE MAN IN THE MOON
OFFICE SPACE
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
THE COWBOYS
THE PIANO

WEST SIDE STORY
You know, I was rereading comments and saw that Garrett had "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset" on his list.....I just watched these back to back a few weeks ago. I remember watching the first one, when it came out, but watching them together was a bit like our blog -- you know, ten years pass, you meet again, and fill in the spaces of what's happened. (Ok, so we didn't all meet on a train and only have one night to get to know one another and then stupidly not exchange addresses... but our conversation somehow kept going and keeps going!) Anyway, just a thought from my sleepy head!
Curses. I made my list the other day and posted it and now it isn't on here. Argh. Anyway, I am too lazy to think of all of the movies again but I must say that A Knight's Tale was on it. Rowr!
I also want to say that you all have inspired me to go out and fill in all my "movie gaps" by watching the ones that you listed which I haven't seen. :)
