baby quilt
Hey, all you people with babies. I want to make a baby quilt for my cousin's as yet in utero child. What I'm wondering is, should I be concerned about tying it rather that quilting it? Like, what if it chewed on the ties and then choked on one? Am I being paranoid?
And I guess I should probably make it flannel, even though it's so danged hot.
Don't worry, Ellie, this doesn't mean I'm not worrying about your wedding quilt.

I think you are just thinking of the possibilities. The baby could suck and pull at the ties, but if you tie them super good I don't think that it will be a problem. It might make you feel better to not tie it. Watch out for those hotter fabrics they can really make a baby's body temp go way up quick. Especially if they are doubled up.
Then I won't worry about flannel...I don't like it anyway. Thanks, Sarah
I too would not worry about ties. In fact, I had a niece that would look for those parts so she could rub them against her face while she was going to sleep. A little weird maybe, but she was all about fringe and yarn and stuff. :)
