Writing
I was reading Hannah's blog, and this line: "It was just one moment out of many, coming from one and leading to another," made me realize why I like blogs, in general, so much, but mostly all of yours.
Well, my love of blogs comes from enjoying hearing people talk about their lives and their thoughts--particularly if they are good at writing about it, but all of yours remind me of creative writing class, and how much we used to share our writing. I miss that creative outlet. I don't even really write anymore. My last poem was about five years ago, and I think the blog is actually stunting my writing ability.
Thinking about all this, I went back to my most prized possession: a book Hannah created for high school graduation, filled with all our memories.
Towards the end, one spread was filled with one of my favorite poems ever to come out of the creative writing classes, that ended with: "And I was feeling as though I was almost worthy of this day."
I love that thought and idea, and reading it again made me miss all of your words.

So interesting that you wrote this, Ellie, for I was left thinking much the same thing after reading Hannah's blog this morning. In fact, Garrett and I talked about this a few months ago -- how everyone inspired each other to write and how hard we worked. **Do you think we could get something going like that now? a kind of cyber creative writing exchange? hmmm** It would be nice to read new things from you all -- to see the old and new reflected.
It's almost like we need a second blog...Like an art blog instead of the conversation one.
Posted stories, posted drawings, posted music, posted art photos.
Or then again, what about a traveling journal? Pages to be filled. There's nothing like seeing everyone's handwriting scrawling across the pages.
I *love* the traveling journal idea!!!
That is a good idea, but i don't think that I would be that interesting. If I write something creative then it is purely by accident anymore.
It's one of those ways we force ourselves to be creative. Kind of like a book club, but we'd be writing about a subject instead of reading it. Or drawing or photographing or painting....
I remember that line, Ellie, about almost feeling worthy of this day. I totally recall hearing that poem back then. Groovy.
