Coming Home to Kansas

Mid-week check-in

What's up?

I resolved my music downloading issues, and discovered last night I am halfway through recreating my favorite mix tape. It seemed to be one of these epic projects--funny to think I might actually get through it. There's just one, maybe two songs I despair of finding online. That said, does anyone know if Concrete Blonde did any acoustic stuff? Their name sure does appear on my tape's play list.

This weekend it was nearly 80 degrees; today it's 51. I suppose it's time for the winter to come to Alabama.

Work is slow. I only have four clients right now, and none of them is giving me any lip, so I'm enjoying them.

Ok, Jen helped me out with the song title: "Make Me Cry," from their album Concrete Blonde [Bonus Tracks]. Jen, or anyone else, I don't suppose you own this CD and could burn me a copy?

I can't figure out why neither iTunes nor MSN music have this album available, when their other albums are online.

I just want the one song! My mix tape plans are being foiled by this and Cesaria Evora!

Speaking weather, our highs got no higher than the 30s today. I was so spoiled, stepping out today and pouting to Topher, "It's so cold!" as though it wasn't November. So winter is here, and no doubt in Kansas, too. My long-lasting impatiens planter revealed cold, crinkled plants when I got home, their blooms still clinging in confusion. They lasted so long! I thought they might even make it to Thanksgiving.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, what's everyone doing?
