This is beautiful! Thank you. And it's SO much better than my actual meteor watching! My parents and I camped out in a prairie meadow behind their house, and we woke up at 2 a.m. on my b-day to view meteors. We wrapped up in sleeping bags, stretched out, and looked up at a clear, clear sky. That lasted for literally 10 seconds before clouds and a rain shower moved in! Not even a star was visible. I spent the rest of the night desperately hoping it was not some sort of evil sign... but that's hard. I'm an English teacher, after all. I'm paid to think about this sort of symbolism.

Last night, however, we sat out and saw ONE really bright one. So quality made up for quantity. Overall, I did have a better day as it wore on. More importantly, it's over. And now I'm back in Illinois facing the prospect of my new job. In a word? Yikes.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all the well wishing.
